Going Home Again
This delightful book was written by my friend, Flo
Austin Dunning, and published 1998. She painted the pictures
copied on the covers.
The book contains her original poetry and short stories illustrated
with her pen drawings of the "olden days" depicting memories
of one-room schools, the country church, berry picking, and family,
etc. We can relate these subjects to our own memories or the stories
our parents and grandparents have told us. She has included many recipes
and old remedies. This book is a real treasure to read.
Flo grew up in the small Flatwoods community near the Pope
and Johnson county line in Illinois. This is her first published book,
but she is working on another one.
